# Deleting lists, contacts, and your account

You can delete a list, a saved contact, a folder, an Inbox (Eingang) entry,
an AI Research run or a whole workspace yourself, right in the app, at any
time. Lists, Saved, the Inbox and research runs are shared in your
workspace, so deleting something removes it for everyone in it. Deleting
your whole account is different: there's no self-service button for that —
you ask support, and it's a good idea to export anything you want to keep
first (see "[Cancel, downgrade and leave](https://listplus.ai/en/help/plans-credits-billing/cancel-downgrade-leave)").

## Delete a list

The owner and admins of the workspace can delete a list: choose **Delete
list** from the **⋯** menu on the list's card on Home or next to the list in
the list tree of the **Lists** view, then confirm with **Yes, delete**.
Deleting a list is immediate and permanent: there's no trash and no
recovery, and it disappears for everyone in the workspace. Members can't
delete lists; ask an admin or the owner.

## Remove a saved contact or delete a folder

On the Saved (Gemerkt) page, open the contact's row **⋯** menu and choose
**Delete** — it's removed right away, with no confirmation step. Folders
live in the Saved page's own left column (a drawer on phones): open a
folder's **⋯** menu → **Delete folder** and confirm. Deleting a folder, or
removing a person from one, doesn't delete the contact — they **stay
saved**, just unfiled from that folder, so they're not subject to the
30-day "recently viewed" cleanup (see "[Where is my data stored?](https://listplus.ai/en/help/data-sources-privacy-legal/where-is-my-data)").

## Inbox: Done vs. Delete

Marking an Inbox entry **Done** moves it from **All** to
**Done** — it isn't deleted and still expires after 14 days like any
untouched entry. To remove an entry immediately, hover it, click the trash
icon and confirm **Delete** — this deletes it right away, before the
14-day window. Saving a contact from an entry or adding it to a list keeps
that contact regardless of what you do with the entry.

## Delete an AI Research run

Click the **×** on the run in the research panel and confirm **Delete**.
The run and its matches are permanently removed.

## API connections and connected accounts

To remove a list's API/MCP connection, open the list's **Automation**
panel, go to **Permissions**, click **Delete API Endpoint** and confirm
with **Delete**. The URL stops working immediately and any service using

## Delete a workspace

The owner can delete a whole workspace with all its lists, saved contacts,
Inbox, research runs, pipelines and connections: workspace menu (workspace
name on Home) → **Workspace settings** → **Danger zone** → **Delete
workspace**, then type the workspace name and click **Delete permanently**.
Your credits and plan are not affected. See "Leave, remove, transfer or

## Deleting your account

There's no self-service "delete account" button. Email support@listplus.ai
and ask — our team deletes your account and your data on request. If
colleagues work in a workspace you own, transfer it to one of them first
(Workspace settings → Transfer ownership), or tell support what should
happen to it. Export anything you want to keep first (open a list's **⋯**
menu → **Export Data**; see "Take your data with you before you leave" in
"[Cancel, downgrade and leave](https://listplus.ai/en/help/plans-credits-billing/cancel-downgrade-leave)"). For what happens to your credit balance when

### How do I delete my account and my data?

Write to support through the chat bubble on the Home page of the app or by email to support@listplus.ai. Our team deletes your account and your data on request; if colleagues work in a workspace you own, transfer it to one of them first. You can delete individual lists, saved contacts, folders, Inbox entries and whole workspaces yourself at any time.

### How do I delete a list, and can I undo it?

The workspace owner and admins can: "..." menu → Delete list → Yes, delete, on the list's card on Home or in the list tree of the Lists view. Deleting a list is permanent for everyone in the workspace, with no undo and no trash. Members can't delete lists, so ask an admin or the owner.

### How do I remove a contact from Saved?

Open the contact's row "..." menu on the Saved page and choose Delete — it's removed immediately, with no confirmation step. This doesn't affect any list you already added that contact to.

### If I delete a folder in Saved, are the contacts in it deleted too?

No. Deleting a folder only removes the folder — the people in it stay saved, they're just no longer filed anywhere, so they still show under "All saved" and don't fall back into the 30-day "recently viewed" cleanup.

### What's the difference between marking an Inbox entry Done and deleting it?

Done moves the entry from "All" to "Done" — it still expires automatically after 14 days like any Inbox entry, same as if you'd done nothing. Delete (the trash icon on the entry) removes it immediately instead of waiting for that window. Either way, any contact you already saved or added to a list from that entry is unaffected.

### Can I delete an AI Research run?

Yes — click the × on the run in the research panel and confirm Delete. The run and its matches are permanently removed.

### How do I delete a list's API connection or token?

Open the list's Automation panel, go to Permissions, click Delete API Endpoint and confirm with Delete. The URL stops working immediately and any service using it loses access.

### Is deleting my account instant?

Account deletion is handled by support on request rather than instantly by a button, so it isn't immediate the way deleting a single list is. Export anything you want to keep before you write in, since there's no undo once it's done.
