# Selecting and highlighting rows from checks

The Analyze panel doesn't just report problems — clicking checks turns them
into a live selection of rows in your grid, with the exact cells that caused
each issue highlighted. This is how you go from "42 rows have no company"
to actually seeing, and fixing, those 42 rows.

## Clicking checks stacks them into one selection

In the Analyze panel (or the **Find & evaluate** field in the list header),
every check is listed with the count of rows it affects. Click a check to
add it to your selection; click it again to remove it. Selected checks
appear as chips at the bottom with the number of selected checks ("3
selected"), and the button shows the combined row count — the footer says
"Click checks — they stack into one combined selection." **Combining is OR, not AND:** a
row is included if it matches _any_ of the checks you've selected, so adding
more checks only ever grows the selection, it never narrows it. There's no
fixed limit on how many checks you can combine.

## Select N rows

As soon as you click a check, the matching rows are already selected live in
the grid checkboxes, and the count on the button updates as you add or
remove checks. Clicking **Select N rows** goes one step further: it filters
the grid down to just those rows and highlights the specific cell that
caused each issue — not the whole row. If a row failed two different checks
on two different columns, both cells are highlighted. Clicking **Select N
rows** again with the same checks clears the filter and deselects the rows;
opening a fresh combination first clears whatever was active before.

## What you can do with the selection

Clicking checks already sets the grid's normal row selection, so anything
that works on selected rows works here too, even before you click Select N
rows: open **Enrich** to fill the highlighted gaps for just these rows, use
**Export Selected Records** from the ⋯ menu, or delete them (then click
**Save**). **Fix** (in the Quick fixes category)
is separate: it corrects every row the check affects, not only your

### How do I select the rows that fail a specific check?
