ListPlus uses Google search results for a handful of lookups where a full
data-provider call isn't needed — finding a URL or a fact that's already
public on the open web. The underlying search service isn't named in
these docs.

**What it delivers.** Free lookups: a person's LinkedIn profile URL from
their name and company, a company's website from its name, and the
"Company News" and "Person in the News" add-ons on a Person Search
profile. The same search also powers the live web search in AI Research.

**Where in ListPlus.** "LinkedIn URL (by Name & Company)" (Enrich menu);
"Company Website (by Name)" (single-cell fill window, also run
automatically before a company lookup when only a name is known);
"Company News" / "Person in the News" (Person Search profile); throughout
an AI Research run.

**Inputs needed.** A name and company for a person's LinkedIn URL, or a
company name for its website. AI Research builds its own search queries
from your research brief.

**Coverage & freshness.** Whatever is currently indexed on the open web at
the moment of the search — there's no stored copy or delay, and no
guarantee a page will be found if it isn't publicly indexed.

**Credits & charge rule.** The search itself never costs credits, found or
not. Features that use it internally, such as AI Research runs and web
research, are billed at their own price (see "AI, research and import
costs").

**What the provider receives from us.** Only the search query itself — a
name and company, a company name, or your Person Search query, or (during
AI Research) the query terms built from your research brief. It never
receives your list.

**Company seat, data location, legal basis.** Available on request from
support@listplus.ai.

**Caching.** Not cached — each search runs live, though it costs nothing to
repeat since it's always free.

### How does ListPlus find a LinkedIn URL for someone without one?

"LinkedIn URL (by Name & Company)" in the Enrich menu runs a free Google search for the person's name and company and fills the LinkedIn URL cell if it finds a match — it doesn't fetch the profile itself.

### Does this search cost credits?

No. Every Google search lookup in ListPlus — finding a LinkedIn URL or a company website, or reading company/person news — is always free, whether or not it finds a result.

### Which company runs this search?

The underlying search service isn't named publicly; it's referred to here as "Google search" for the results it returns.

### What does the search provider receive from my list?

Only the search terms for that one lookup — a name and company, or a company name — never the rest of your list or any other row data.

### Does Google search play a role in AI Research?

Yes. The same search powers the live web search AI Research runs while looking for and confirming matches, alongside optional paid sources like Reddit, X and BuiltWith you can switch on. ### Is a Google search result ever cached or reused?

No — each search runs live against the current web index every time, but since it's always free there's no cost to running it again.

### Can this search find a person's email address?

No. It finds public URLs (LinkedIn profiles, company websites) and news items, never an email address.
