# LinkedIn data: find, fill and verify

ListPlus has four separate LinkedIn actions, each for a different situation
— finding a URL you don't have, filling a full profile from a URL you do
have, searching for a profile without a URL, and checking whether a profile
exists for a name and company at all.

## The four actions

- **"LinkedIn URL (by Name & Company)"** — a free Google search that finds
  a person's LinkedIn profile URL from their name and company. It only
  fills empty LinkedIn URL cells and doesn't fetch the profile itself.
- **"LinkedIn Profile (by LinkedIn URL)"** — fetches the full profile
  (current job title, company, location, experience) once you have the
  URL, whether it came from the free search above or from your own data.
- **"LinkedIn Profile Search (by Name & Company)"** — searches LinkedIn
  directly by name and company and returns the full profile in one step,
  when you don't want to find the URL first. It costs more than the free
  URL search plus a profile fetch combined.
- **"Verify LinkedIn Profile" (by name + company)** — checks whether a
  LinkedIn profile exists for that name and company, without pulling the
  full profile. If it finds one and your LinkedIn URL cell is empty, it
  fills in the URL. It costs 0.25 credits, or 0.5 when it first has to look
  up the company from the email domain, and it's charged per check even
  without a match.

A LinkedIn company page follows the same by-URL pattern: "LinkedIn Company"
looks up a company's LinkedIn page and returns industry, size, headquarters
and website.

## Where to run them

In the Enrich menu, Verify LinkedIn Profile is under Verify, and the other
three are under Contact Enrichment ("LinkedIn Company" is under Company
Enrichment). The selection bar's Enrich offers the same actions scoped to
selected rows. The record panel offers LinkedIn Profile, LinkedIn Profile
Search and LinkedIn Company, but not the free URL search or Verify. See

### How do I find someone's LinkedIn URL if I don't have it?

Run "LinkedIn URL (by Name & Company)" from the Enrich menu — it's a free Google search that fills empty LinkedIn URL cells from the person's name and company, without charging credits.

### What's the difference between "LinkedIn Profile" and "LinkedIn Profile Search"?

"LinkedIn Profile (by LinkedIn URL)" fetches the full profile from a URL you already have, for 0.5 credits on a hit. "LinkedIn Profile Search (by Name & Company)" does the search and the fetch in one step when you don't have the URL, for 1 credit per attempt, even without a match.

### What does "Verify LinkedIn Profile" actually check?

It checks whether a LinkedIn profile exists for that name and company, without pulling the full profile data. If it finds one and your LinkedIn URL cell is empty, it fills in the URL for you.

### Does Verify LinkedIn Profile cost credits even if it finds nothing?

### Does ListPlus use my own LinkedIn account for any of this?

No. All LinkedIn lookups run through a specialised LinkedIn data provider on ListPlus's side; it never signs in as you and never uses your LinkedIn account or session.

### Is repeating a LinkedIn lookup free the second time?
