# Exporting your list

Downloading your list as a file (CSV, Excel, JSON and the other file
formats) is free on every plan and never costs credits.

## Where to export from

Open a list and click the **Export** button in the list header to open the
export wizard directly, or use the **⋯** icon at the far right of the header
(not the **More** menu) for more options. In ⌘K, search for **Export
Wizard**, **Export All (Excel)** or **Export Visible Rows**.

The **⋯** icon's menu includes:

- **Export Data** — opens the export wizard, where you pick a destination,
  choose columns and (for file downloads) a format.
- **Export as Excel** — a one-click shortcut that downloads exactly what the
  grid currently shows as an .xlsx file, no wizard.
- **Export Selected Records** — appears when you have rows selected; exports
  only those rows through the wizard.
- **Export Visible Records** — appears when a search, sublist (segment) or
  the Changes filter is active; exports only the rows currently shown
  (renamed **Export Sublist "Name"** when a sublist is the active filter).

## The export wizard

The wizard has two steps: pick a destination, then pick columns. On the
column step you check or uncheck any column, search by name, drag to
reorder, and rename a column just for this export (the list itself is
unchanged). For a file download you also edit the file name before
downloading.

Destinations include instant file downloads — Excel, CSV, JSON, and more
under "More formats" — plus app destinations. See "Sending contacts to

## Which rows and columns are included

**Export Data** (and the header Export button and Export Wizard) exports
every row saved in the list, including rows marked ignored, whatever is
filtered on screen. **Export as Excel** in the ⋯ menu downloads exactly what
the grid shows right now: the current filter, search or sublist, the visible
columns, and ignored rows only when Show Ignored Rows is on. **Export All
(Excel)** in ⌘K downloads every row, including ignored ones. **Export
Selected Records** and **Export Visible Records** limit the wizard to the
rows selected or shown. In the wizard, columns default to every column in the
list except internal system columns, and you can uncheck any of them on the
column step.

Exporting only includes what's actually saved in the list's cells. If you
looked up data with Enrich but haven't filled it into the cells yet (the
"Fill empty cells?" prompt), that data is not in the export — fill it in
first, then export. Two destinations are the exception: the webhook
destination has an optional Include enrichment data setting (see "Zapier,
Make and n8n via webhook"), and Lemlist, Instantly and Smartlead fill empty
standard fields (name, company, phone, website, LinkedIn) from enrichment
results automatically (see "Sending contacts to Lemlist, Instantly and
Smartlead").

The export wizard reads the list as it's saved, so click **Save** first if
you want your latest edits in it. The one-click Excel shortcuts download the
grid as you see it.

## FAQ

### How do I export my list?

Click the Export button in the list header to open the export wizard directly, or use the ⋯ icon at the far right of the header for more options such as Export as Excel or Export Selected/Visible Records. You can also press ⌘K and search for Export Wizard, Export All (Excel) or Export Visible Rows.

### Does exporting cost credits?

No. Downloading a list as a file costs no credits on every plan, including Basic. For sending to apps like HubSpot or Google Sheets, see that destination's topic.

### Can I choose which columns get exported?

Yes. The export wizard's column step lists every column with a checkbox, a search box, drag-to-reorder, and you can rename a column just for that export without changing the list itself.

### Can I export just the rows I've selected?

Yes. Select the rows in the grid, then choose Export Selected Records from the ⋯ menu — only those rows go into the export.

### Can I export a filtered view or a sublist (segment)?

Yes. With a search, sublist or the Changes filter active, the ⋯ menu shows Export Visible Records (or Export Sublist "Name" when a sublist is the active filter) instead of the full-list option, and only those rows are exported.

### Does exporting the whole list include ignored rows?

Export Data and Export All (Excel) include rows marked ignored. Export as Excel in the ⋯ menu leaves them out unless Show Ignored Rows is on. To send ignored-free data through the wizard, open a sublist or search first and use Export Visible Records.

### Will data I looked up with Enrich but haven't filled in yet be exported?

No — export only includes what's actually saved in the list's cells, so data Enrich found but you haven't accepted via the "Fill empty cells?" prompt is excluded until you fill it in and export.
