# Letting your own AI research for you ("Your AI")

**Your AI** is a second way to run an AI Research: instead of ListPlus's own
agent, you hand the job to an AI assistant you already use — Claude,
ChatGPT or an agent of your own — through a private link. It searches on
its own and reports what it finds straight into your ListPlus research
cockpit.

## Setting it up

Open **Research** in the left navigation, describe your target group as
usual, then under **Who should search** pick **Your AI** instead of
ListPlus. Choose what it should collect — **Contacts**, **Companies** or
**Custom fields** (a Custom collection lets you name your own item and, if
useful, a field that spots duplicates) — and click **Generate URL**.
ListPlus shows the link plus a ready-to-paste instruction; copy either one
into your assistant and it takes it from there. This entity choice —
Contacts, Companies or Custom fields — only exists in Your AI mode; a
ListPlus-run research decides person vs. company on its own.

## What it costs

Reported matches are free — you only pay if you turn on **Verify emails**,
which checks an address your AI found before it's reported and costs
0.1 credits per check (the checks also need enough credit balance),
capped at a spending limit you set (10, 25 or 50 credits) so your AI can
never spend more than you agreed to. Your AI also
always gets a free LinkedIn/web lookup through ListPlus for grounding real
facts instead of guessing them, at no extra cost. If a verification check
itself fails, that charge is refunded automatically — see "Automatic

## How long it runs, and how long results stay

Your AI gets roughly 24 hours to search and report before its link stops
accepting new results; anything it already reported stays. Separately, you
choose how long the whole research (and its matches) is kept in your
cockpit — 1, 3 or 7 days — after which it's deleted automatically. Hand
the link to your assistant soon after generating it, since the 24-hour
work window doesn't get longer just because you picked a longer keep-time.
The setup sentence says "The URL is valid for …", but the days you pick
there are how long the research and its matches are kept; Your AI's link
accepts new results for about 24 hours after you generate it.

## Shared with your workspace

A Your AI research is stored like any other research: it appears in the
research list of your workspace, every member sees it and its matches, and a
run a colleague set up shows their name (for example "by Anna"). Email
verification charges go to the workspace owner's credit balance. If the
person who generated the link leaves the workspace, the link stops
accepting results.

## Keep the link private

Anyone holding the link can add results to this one research, and use its
credit cap if verification is on, without signing in. It gives no access
to the rest of your account. Treat it like a password: only paste it into
the AI assistant or tool you intend to use, and delete the research if
you think it leaked — deleting it also disables the link immediately.
