# Help in the app: guides, video and support

Every main view has a round **?** button in the bottom-right corner. It
opens a short list of guides for the view you are in, and at the bottom of
the list a way to ask support. Nothing opens by itself: ListPlus has no
automatic tour, you ask for help when you want it.

## Where the button is

The button appears in Home, a list, New list, Person Search, Segment Search,
AI Research, Inbox, Watchlist and Pipelines. In a list it sits just above
the status bar. Other pages have no help list and no button.

## What the card shows

Click the button and a card opens above it. It shows a headline for the
view and the entries of that view; once a view has recorded guides, a
counter such as "1 of 3 viewed" with a progress bar appears above them.
Each entry is a task asked the way you would ask it ("How do I import data
from HubSpot?"), usually with its click path underneath, for example
"Select file → pick the sheet → Create List". A video is marked
**Video** and with a play icon; others show a guide length in minutes.
Home starts with the intro video "[What is ListPlus?](https://listplus.ai/en/help/getting-started/what-is-listplus)". Press Esc or click
the button again to close the card.

## Opening a guide

Click an entry: the guide opens in a dialog on top of the page, with the
buttons **Open in its own window** and a close button. On a phone the guide
opens directly in a window of its own. Opening an entry ticks it as viewed,
and you can open a ticked entry again at any time.

An entry with a clock icon is not recorded yet. A click only shows a short
notice, and such entries do not count in "x of y viewed".

## What is remembered

The ticks and the views where you hid the button are kept with your
account, so they are the same on every device. Without an account they are
kept in the browser only.

## Hide the button, bring it back

Click **Hide here** at the bottom of the card to remove the button from
that view only; other views keep theirs. To bring it back, open the search
(⌘K / Ctrl+K) and choose **Help**, or choose **Help** in the menu at your
avatar. That shows the view's card again with its button.

On a page that has no help list, **Help** opens the support chat instead,
or an e-mail draft to support@listplus.ai if your workspace switched the
chat off.

## Ask support a question

At the bottom of the card, **Ask support a question** opens the support
chat in the same corner. The chat has no bubble of its own and loads only
after you click this; close it with its ✕. If support answers while the
chat is closed and the page is still open, the **?** button shows a dot:
open the card and click **Ask support a question** again to read the
answer. In a view where you hid the help, a round button with the tooltip
"Support answered" appears instead; a click on it opens the chat. After a
reload there is no dot — open the chat again to see the answer.

If your workspace's owner switched the support chat off in the workspace
settings, this entry is missing: write to support@listplus.ai instead. See "[How do I contact support?](https://listplus.ai/en/help/troubleshooting/contact-support)" for what to include in a
request.

## FAQ

### Where is the help button in ListPlus?

The round ? button sits in the bottom-right corner of Home, a list, New list, Person Search, Segment Search, AI Research, Inbox, Watchlist and Pipelines. Click it to open the guides for the view you are in.

### What does the help card show?

A headline for the view and the view's entries, each phrased as a task, usually with its click path underneath; a counter like "1 of 3 viewed" appears once the view has recorded guides. A video is marked Video and has a play icon. At the bottom are "Ask support a question" (unless your workspace switched the support chat off) and "Hide here".

### How do I open a guide?

Click its entry in the help card and the guide opens in a dialog on the page. Use "Open in its own window" in the dialog to see it larger; on a phone it opens directly in its own window. Opening it ticks the entry as viewed.

### What does the clock icon on a guide mean?

The guide is not recorded yet. Clicking it only shows a short notice, and it does not count in the "x of y viewed" counter.

### Where is the intro video?

It is the first entry of the help card on Home, the short product video. Click the ? button on Home and then that entry.

### Are my viewed guides saved?

Yes. The ticks are kept with your account, so they show on every device you sign in with. Without an account they are kept only in your browser.

### Does ListPlus start a tour or open help by itself?

No. There is no automatic tour, and the help card opens only when you click the ? button.

### How do I hide the help button?

Open the help card and click "Hide here". The button disappears from that view only and the other views keep theirs.

### How do I bring the help button back?

Open the search (⌘K / Ctrl+K) and choose Help, or choose Help in the menu at your avatar. That shows the button and the card of the view you are in again. On a page without a help list, Help opens the support chat instead, or an e-mail draft to support@listplus.ai if your workspace switched the chat off.

### How do I ask support a question from the app?

Choose "Ask support a question" at the bottom of the help card and the chat opens in the same corner. If support answers while the chat is closed and the page is still open, the help button shows a dot: click it and choose "Ask support a question" again to read the answer. If the entry is missing, your workspace's owner switched the support chat off, so write to support@listplus.ai instead.
