# Seeing which pipelines a record went through

Last updated: 2026-09-28

Every list row and saved contact remembers the latest state it reached in
each pipeline. You can see it on the record itself and turn it into a
filterable column, so you always know whether a lead already went to your
CRM, Slack or team mail.

## Where you see it

- **In a list:** open a row's record panel. At the bottom, the section
**In pipelines** lists each pipeline the record was added to: the target's
icon, the pipeline name, the state and the date. Click a line to open that
  pipeline.
- **In Saved:** open the contact drawer of a saved contact; the same **In
  pipelines** section appears there.

The section only shows up once a record has been added to at least one
pipeline. Deleted pipelines drop out of it.

## What the states mean

- **waiting** — added, not sent yet.
- **data check** — held back because a field required by the pipeline's
  data check is missing.
- **sent** — delivered successfully.
- **failed** — the last attempt failed; the entry is still in the pipeline
  for another try.
- **removed** — someone removed it from the pipeline without sending.

Only the most recent state per pipeline is kept on the record. The full
sequence of attempts is in the pipeline's **History** tab (30 days).

## Filter a list by pipeline state

In the record panel, click **As column** next to a pipeline ("Show as a
list column – filterable and sortable"). A read-only column **Pipeline:
(name)** appears with coloured state tags. Filter it like any column, for
example to show only rows that are **sent**, or pick **(Blanks)** to find
rows that were never added to that pipeline. The column is a view aid: it
isn't saved with the list, so add it again after reopening the list.

A duplicated list starts without pipeline marks.

## "Open in ListPlus" links

Slack messages and pipeline e-mails can carry an **Open in ListPlus** link
per record. It opens the exact row in its list (with the record panel open)
or the saved contact, after you sign in. Only members of the workspace can
open it.

## FAQ

### How can I see if a contact was already sent to a pipeline?

Open the row's record panel in the list, or the contact drawer of a saved contact, and look at the In pipelines section at the bottom. It lists every pipeline the record was added to with its latest state and date; click a line to open that pipeline.

### What do the pipeline states waiting, data check, sent, failed and removed mean?

waiting = added but not sent yet; data check = held back because a required field is missing; sent = delivered; failed = the last attempt failed and the entry waits for another try; removed = taken out of the pipeline without sending. Only the latest state per pipeline is shown on the record.

### How do I filter my list by pipeline status?

In the record panel, click As column next to the pipeline; a read-only column "Pipeline: (name)" appears with state tags. Filter or sort it like any column, and use (Blanks) to find rows that were never added to that pipeline.

### Why did the pipeline column disappear from my list?

The Pipeline column added with As column is a temporary view and isn't saved with the list. Open any record panel and click As column again to bring it back.

### Why don't I see "In pipelines" on a record?

The section only appears once the record has been added to at least one pipeline, and pipelines that were deleted drop out of it. In the contact drawer it shows for saved contacts only, and a duplicated list starts without marks.

### Where can I see every attempt, not just the latest state?

The record shows only its latest state per pipeline. Open the pipeline (click the line in In pipelines) and go to the History tab for each attempt, its result and the target's answer, kept for 30 days.

### What does "Open in ListPlus" in a Slack message or pipeline mail open?

It opens that exact record: the row in its list with the record panel open, or the saved contact in Saved. You need to sign in, and only members of the workspace can open it.
