# Where did my credits go?

Every place credits get spent also shows the cost, and the Usage page pulls
it all together in one history for the balance that pays in your current
workspace. This topic walks through where
to look, on the page and inside a list.

## Open the Usage page

Click your avatar at the bottom of the left navigation, then **Usage**. This
opens the "Credit Usage Report" — the credit history of the balance that
pays in the active workspace.

## Usage in a workspace

The page also has a section **Usage in this workspace** with this month's
credits per person in the active workspace, so you can see who spent what.
The rest of the page depends on whose balance pays:

- **In a workspace you own**, the page shows your full credit history across
all workspaces you own, including purchases.
- **In a workspace someone else owns**, the balance shown is the owner's
(for example "Anna's credits"), and the page only shows that workspace's
spending: no purchases, no lifetime totals of the owner, nothing from other
workspaces. A note says "You only see this workspace's usage. The balance
  belongs to …".

## What each part of the page shows

- **Current Balance** — your credit total right now, with its approximate € value underneath.
- **Lifetime Used** — every credit you've ever spent, with its € value.
- **Today** and **This Month** — credits spent and number of paid actions (requests) in each period.
- **Usage by Model** — a table of every kind of paid activity, not only AI models: AI models by name, plus rows for enrichment, searches and imports — some shown with a technical label such as "Data Enrichment", "import" or one beginning with "enrichment:" followed by the provider or search type. Each row shows requests, credits used, € value, average per request, and its share of your all-time credits used. Empty if you haven't spent any credits yet.
- **Transaction History** — a table of your individual transactions (see below), with a "Last 13 Weeks" heatmap above it: darker days spent more, and clicking a day filters the table to just that day's transactions (click again, or close the day chip, to see everything).

## Reading one transaction

Each row in Transaction History shows: the date, a type tag (PURCHASE, USAGE,
BONUS, REFUND or ADJUSTMENT — see below), the credit amount (positive adds to
your balance, negative subtracts), its approximate € value, your balance
right after it, and a Details column. Details shows what the credits paid for
(e.g. an AI model name, or a provider like Prospeo) and where — Person
search, Segment Search, AI Research, Import, Enrichment, AI, or a specific
List; when it names a list, the list name is a clickable link that opens it
(or shows "deleted list" if it no longer exists). Recognizing contacts in
your Inbox shows up as "collection · Enrichment" (with "collection-recognize"
underneath) — "collection" is simply the Usage page's name for Inbox
recognition.

## Per-list spend in the status bar

Inside a list, the status bar at the bottom shows a "credits spent" chip
whenever that list has cost anything. Click it to open **Credits Used on This
List**, which splits the total into **AI Commands** (chat, selections,
analysis) and **Enrichment** (data lookups & verification) — this counts what everyone in the workspace
spent on that one list, not your account total.

## Where an AI reply shows its cost

When you give the AI an instruction — edit data, select rows, tag them,
analyze them — its reply ends with a small footer naming the model and the
exact credits that reply cost, e.g. "0.23 Credits." Plain conversational AI
replies are billed the same way but don't show this footer inline — their
cost still lands in Usage by Model and Transaction History on the Usage page.

## Where an enrichment run shows its total

While an enrichment job runs and right after it finishes, a small status bar
floats at the top of the screen showing its progress — click it to expand and
see, per job, how many rows succeeded (and how many came from cache), how
many failed, and the credits it used. If you instead ask the AI to enrich
rows as a command, its chat reply names the provider and reports how many
contacts were found, how many came from the cache and the credits used.

## How refunds appear

Most lookups simply aren't charged at all when they fail to find anything —
the price list marks which ones are charged only on a hit versus per attempt.
ListPlus automatically refunds credits in a couple of narrower cases: a paid
AI Research source (like email verification during a research run through
your own AI assistant) that fails after already being charged, or an Inbox
recognition result discarded
before you could use it. AI commands and AI reasoning that already ran are
billed regardless of how useful the reply was, and aren't refunded.

## If something looks wrong

1. Open **Usage** from your avatar menu and find the transaction — use the
heatmap to jump to a day, or scroll the Transaction History table.
2. Note its date, amount, type and Details text (what it paid for, and
   where).
3. Email **support@listplus.ai** with those details so support can look up
   the exact charge.

## For advanced users

Transaction types: **PURCHASE** (a credit pack you bought, showing the euro
amount you paid), **USAGE** (an action that spent credits), **BONUS** (a
one-time grant, e.g. your sign-up credits or a plan's first-subscription
bonus), **REFUND** (an automatic credit-back after one of the two cases
above), and **ADJUSTMENT** (a manual correction made by ListPlus support).
Lifetime Used and a list's credit total are both gross figures: a refund adds
the credits back to your balance but doesn't reduce what Lifetime Used or
that list already counted. A list's status bar chip rounds to a whole number
of credits, while the "Credits Used on This List" modal it opens shows exact
decimals; while a job runs, the chip and the Usage page update at slightly
different moments and agree once the job has finished and you reload. Today and
This Month are counted by UTC calendar day/month, so they can roll over at a
different local time than midnight where you are. AI usage is converted to
credits from the actual input and output tokens of that reply, using a
per-model rate — not a flat per-command price — which is why the same
instruction can cost a slightly different amount twice. Usage history
belongs to the balance it was paid from (the workspace owner's): ListPlus keeps the last 1000
transactions in total, the Transaction History table shows only the most
recent 100 of those, and the 13-week heatmap is built from the full 1000 —
so a very active account's heatmap can reach further back than the visible
table.

## FAQ

### Where can I see a breakdown of what I spent my credits on?

Open Usage from your avatar menu — it shows your balance, spending by type (AI models, enrichment, imports), a 13-week heatmap, and your last 100 transactions, each labeled with what it paid for and where (a search, an import, an enrichment, or a specific list).

### Why did my balance drop?

Every paid action — a data lookup, an AI command, a file import — deducts credits the moment it runs, so your balance can drop outside of when you buy a pack. A LinkedIn import is charged once, when it completes, rather than when you start it. Open Usage from your avatar menu to see exactly which transactions lowered it.

### How do I see what a single list cost?

Inside the list, look at the "credits spent" chip in the status bar at the bottom and click it to open "Credits Used on This List," which splits the total into AI Commands and Enrichment. This counts what everyone in the workspace spent on that one list, rounded to a whole number in the chip (the modal shows exact decimals).

### What do the transaction types mean?

Each row on the Usage page's Transaction History is tagged PURCHASE (a credit pack you bought), USAGE (an action that spent credits), BONUS (a one-time grant), REFUND (credits returned automatically) or ADJUSTMENT (a manual correction from support). Positive amounts add to your balance, negative amounts subtract from it.

### I was charged but got no result — what now?

Most lookups only charge credits when they actually find something; a few are charged per attempt even without a match, and the price list marks which is which for every action. A failed lookup normally isn't charged, and the two charge-first cases (a failed paid research source during a research run through your own AI assistant, a discarded Inbox recognition) are refunded automatically — check the Usage page for a Refund entry, and email support@listplus.ai with the date and amount if a charge still looks wrong.

### How do I see what an AI command cost?

When you give the AI an instruction — edit, select, or tag rows — its reply ends with a small footer showing the model and the exact credits it cost. Every AI reply's cost — including plain question-and-answer replies that don't show this footer — also appears on the Usage page, under Usage by Model and in Transaction History.

### How do I see what an enrichment run cost?

While an enrichment job runs, and for a few seconds after, a small status bar floats at the top of the screen; expand it to see rows succeeded, rows cached, rows failed, and the credits used, per job. If you asked the AI to enrich rows as a command instead, its chat reply states the result and credits used directly.

### Why does Usage by Model show "Data Enrichment" or "import" rows?

Usage by Model lists every kind of paid activity, not just AI models: enrichment lookups, searches and imports appear as their own rows, some with technical labels such as "Data Enrichment", "import" or "enrichment:" followed by the provider or search type. Each row's share is its percentage of all the credits you've ever spent, not just AI spend.

### Why does recognizing Inbox contacts show as "collection · Enrichment"?

That's how the Usage page and Transaction History list Inbox recognition: "collection" is the item, "Enrichment" the area, and "collection-recognize" appears underneath. It's the same run you paid for on the Recognize contacts button — the amount matches the price shown there (or less, for free text).

### Why doesn't my list's credit counter match the Usage page?

The status bar chip only counts that one list (spend by everyone in the workspace), not the whole balance, and it rounds to a whole number while the modal it opens shows exact decimals. While a job runs, the chip and the Usage page update at slightly different moments, so they can briefly disagree until the job has finished and you reload.

### I clicked a day in the heatmap and see no transactions — why?

The heatmap is built from your last 1000 stored transactions, but the table below it only ever shows the most recent 100 — so clicking an older, lower-activity day can find nothing in the visible table even though the heatmap shows spend that day. This only happens on accounts with heavy usage; email support@listplus.ai with the date if you need details on an older transaction.

### Can I download or export my transaction history?

Not from the Usage page itself — there's no download or export button there today. If you need your transaction history for accounting or another external use, email support@listplus.ai with the date range you need.

### How far back does my usage history go?

ListPlus keeps your most recent 1000 transactions; older ones aren't retained. The Transaction History table only shows the latest 100 of those, while the 13-week heatmap above it summarizes the full 1000 by day, so it can cover more history than the table on a very active account.

### I think I was charged too much — who do I contact?

Email support@listplus.ai with the transaction's date, credit amount, and its "what/where" details from the Usage page, so support can look up the exact charge. Check the price list first if you just want to confirm what an action is supposed to cost.

### Why don't I see purchases or my full history on the Usage page?

You are in a workspace someone else owns, so the page shows that owner's balance and only the spending in this workspace, without purchases or other workspaces. Switch to a workspace you own to see your own full history. The section "Usage in this workspace" shows this month's credits per person.
