# My list looks wrong — rows, columns or whole lists are missing

If a list suddenly shows fewer rows or columns than you expect, it's
almost always a filter, a sublist or a display setting — not lost data.
This article is a checklist; each cause links to the article that covers
it in full.

## A whole list (or all your lists) is missing

- **You're in a different workspace.** Lists belong to a workspace, and you
  only see the lists of the workspace that's active. Check the workspace
  name in the Home header, or open the avatar menu → **Workspaces**, and
  switch to the right one. If you belong to more than one workspace, the
  browser tab title also shows the active workspace's name. See "Switch,
  create and rename workspaces."
- **The list tree is just collapsed.** Inside a list, the tree of projects
  and lists starts collapsed so the grid gets the full width. Press ⌘⇧L /
  Ctrl+Shift+L, or click **Lists** in the left navigation again, to show
  it.
- **The list was deleted.** An owner or admin of the workspace can delete
  lists, and deleting is permanent, with no trash. Ask your workspace's
  owner or admins.
- **You no longer have access.** If you left a workspace, were removed from
  it, or it was deleted, its lists are gone from your view; you can only
  get back in with a new invite.

## Rows missing

- **An active search or column filter.** Look at the status bar at the
  bottom of the grid: if a **Filtered** chip is showing next to **All**,
  a search or column filter is narrowing the view. Click **All** to see

- **A Selection or Changes chip is active.** These narrow the view to
  your ticked rows or your unsaved edits. Click **All** to clear either
  one.
- **An active sublist (segment).** Open **More → Sublists** and check
  whether you're currently viewing a sublist rather than **All** — a
  sublist only shows the rows that match it. See "Sublists (segments) and
  tags."
- **Hidden rows.** Rows can be hidden on purpose and disappear from every
  view. Open **More → Sublists** and click **Hidden rows** (below **All**)
  to find them, and **Restore** to bring them back. See "Hiding vs.
  deleting rows."

## Columns missing

Open **More → Columns** and check the checkbox next to each column — an
unchecked column is hidden, not deleted. Tick it to bring it back into the
grid; drag a column in that list to reorder it. See "Add, hide, reorder
and rename columns" for the full column toolbox.

## Everything looks too small or too large

The grid has its own zoom control at the bottom-right of the status bar,
from 50% to 150%. Click the percentage in the middle to reset it to 100%.
This only changes how large the grid looks on your screen — it never
affects your data.

## FAQ

### The list tree on the left is gone while I'm in a list

Inside a list, the tree of projects and lists starts collapsed so the grid gets the full width. Press ⌘⇧L / Ctrl+Shift+L, or click Lists in the left navigation again, to show it.

### Some rows I expect to see are missing — where did they go?

Check the status bar for a "Filtered," "Selection" or "Changes" chip next to "All" (click All to clear it), then check More → Sublists for an active segment or the "Hidden rows" view — none of these delete data, they only narrow what's shown.

### How do I tell if a filter or search is currently narrowing my view?

The status bar at the bottom of the grid shows a "Filtered" chip next to "All" whenever a search or column filter is active; click "All" to see every row again.

### I can't find some rows anywhere in my views — could they be hidden?

Yes — open More → Sublists and click "Hidden rows" below "All." Hidden rows are reversible; select them and click Restore to bring them back into your normal views.

### A column I need isn't showing in the grid — is it deleted?

Probably just hidden. Open More → Columns and tick the checkbox next to it to show it again; nothing about a hidden column's data changes.

### Why does my list look tiny or huge compared to last time?

Check the zoom control at the bottom-right of the status bar (50%–150%) — click the percentage in the middle to reset it to 100%. It only changes the on-screen size, never your data.

### Could a sublist be the reason I'm only seeing some of my rows?

Yes — opening a sublist from More → Sublists shows only the rows that match it. Click "All" in Sublists, or the "All" chip in the status bar, to return to your full list.
