# List Settings: rows, layout and schema

Open the list's **⋯** menu in the header and choose **List Settings...** for
three tabs: **General** (row permissions and in-cell enrichment), **Layout**
(display options) and **Schema** (per-column type details). In General and
Layout, click **Save** at the bottom of the tab; in Schema, click **Apply
Changes**.

## General tab

- **Allow adding rows** — lets people add new rows to the list.
- **Allow deleting rows** — lets people delete rows; see "Hiding vs.
  deleting rows" for how that's different from hiding.
- **Allow row reordering** — lets people drag rows into a new order. It
  turns on automatically, and can't be switched off, while Allow adding
  rows is on.
- **In-cell enrichment** — shows a small wand icon when you hover an empty
  cell that can be filled by a lookup; clicking it fills just that one
  cell: instantly and free if the value is already known, otherwise it
  opens a small window listing the ways to fill it, cheapest first. Turn
  it off here to stop it appearing.

## Adding, deleting and reordering rows

Click **New row** in the status bar at the bottom of the grid to add one
empty row. To reorder, drag a row by its first column — this only works
when no column sort is currently applied. For deleting rows, see "Hiding

## Layout tab

**Alternate row colors** (striped background for even/odd rows), **Show
company favicon** (small icon next to company names) and **Show photo URLs
as images** (renders a photo URL cell as a circular thumbnail instead of
text).

## Schema tab

Click a column to expand its details: **Title** (the display name — see
"[Adding and managing columns](https://listplus.ai/en/help/working-in-a-list/columns-formulas-ai-columns)" for renaming), a **Required** checkbox,
**Content Type** and **Data Type** dropdowns, plus read-only details where
they apply — a **Value Format** section showing the value patterns detected
for that column, a lookup's option list, validation rules, and the AI's
confidence score and reasoning from import. Click **Apply Changes** at the
bottom to save any edits you made in this tab.

### How do I open List Settings?

### What can I control in the General tab?
