Invite colleagues by e-mail into your workspace. Each invite is sent as an
e-mail and also gives you a link to copy, is valid for 14 days and can only
be accepted with the invited e-mail address.

## Invite someone

1. On Home, click the workspace name in the header (or open your avatar menu
   and click the workspace row).
2. Choose **Members & invites**.
3. Under **Invite**, enter one or more e-mail addresses, separated by
commas (up to 20 at a time).
4. Owners and admins can pick the role, **Member** or **Admin**. Everyone
   else invites as Member.
5. Click **Invite**.

ListPlus e-mails the invite and shows each link with **Copy link**, so you
can also send it yourself, for example in a chat. The message "Invitation
sent by e-mail" confirms the mail. If the mail could not go out, you see
"Copy the link – e-mail not sent" with the reason ("daily limit reached",
"address blocked" or "sending failed"). The invite still works: copy the
link and send it yourself.

The invitation e-mail comes from ListPlus, names you and the workspace, and
has an **Accept invitation** button. It is written in your app language.

## Open invites

Invites that nobody has accepted yet appear under **Open invites** in the
same window.

- **Resend** sends a fresh e-mail with a new link. The old link stops working
and the 14 days start again.
- **Withdraw** cancels the invite, and its link stops working.

The person who sent the invite, the owner and admins can resend or withdraw
it. Inviting an address again also replaces its open invite and its old
link. An address that already belongs to the team is not invited again
("is already on the team").

## Limits

- Up to 20 addresses per invite.
- Each person can send up to 100 invitation e-mails per day. Above that, the
invite is still created and only the mail is skipped, so copy the link.
- Each invite link works once and expires after 14 days.

## Accepting an invite

The invited person clicks the button in the e-mail or opens the link:

- **Not signed in, or no account yet:** click **Sign in and join**, then sign
in or sign up with the invited e-mail address and a one-time code.
- **Signed in with the invited address:** click **Join**.
- **Signed in with a different address:** the page says "This invite was sent
to …. Sign in with that address to join." Sign out and sign in with the
  invited address.

Signed-in users also find invites for their address in the workspace menu
under **Invites**, with **Join** and **Decline**. A dot on the workspace icon
shows that an invite is waiting.

## FAQ

### How do I invite a colleague to my workspace?

On Home, click the workspace name in the header (or the workspace row in your avatar menu) and choose Members & invites. Enter one or more e-mail addresses under Invite and click Invite. ListPlus e-mails each person a link, and you can also copy the link and send it yourself.

### Who can invite people to a workspace?

Every member of a workspace can invite people as Members. Only the owner and admins can invite someone directly as an Admin.

### Does my colleague need a ListPlus account before I invite them?

No. They open the invite link, click "Sign in and join" and sign up with the invited e-mail address and a one-time code. They join your workspace right away and work on your plan and credits.

### How long is an invite link valid?

An invite link is valid for 14 days and works once. It can only be accepted with the e-mail address it was sent to. After that, send a new invite or click Resend under Open invites.

### My colleague didn't get the invitation e-mail. What can I do?

Ask them to check their spam folder, or copy the link from the invite window and send it yourself. You can also click Resend under Open invites (workspace menu → Members & invites), which mails a new link. If you saw "e-mail not sent (address blocked)", the address refused earlier mails, so send the link another way.

### What happens when I click Resend?

Resend creates a new link, e-mails it and restarts the 14 days. The previous link stops working, so only the newest link can be used. Inviting the same address again has the same effect.

### How do I cancel an invite?

Open the workspace menu → Members & invites and click Withdraw next to the invite under Open invites. The link stops working immediately. The person who sent it, the owner and admins can withdraw an invite.

### Is there a limit on how many people I can invite?

You can enter up to 20 addresses at a time and send up to 100 invitation e-mails per day. Above the daily limit, the invite is still created and you see "Copy the link – e-mail not sent (daily limit reached)", so send the link yourself. There is no limit on the number of members.

### How do I accept an invite to a workspace?

Open the link from the invitation e-mail and click "Join", or "Sign in and join" if you are signed out. If you are already signed in, you also find the invite in the workspace menu under Invites, with Join and Decline. Use the e-mail address the invite was sent to.

### The invite link says it was sent to a different e-mail address. What now?

An invite can only be accepted with the address it was sent to. Sign out and sign in with that address, or ask the person who invited you to invite the address you actually use. There is no way to move an invite to another address.

### The invite says it no longer exists. Why?

The message "This invite no longer exists — it expired or was already used" appears when the link is older than 14 days, was withdrawn, was already used, or was replaced by a newer link (Resend or a new invite). Ask the person who invited you for a new invite.

### In which language is the invitation e-mail?

The invitation e-mail is written in the app language of the person who sends it. The invited person can switch their own app language after joining.
