AI Analysis is a group of five AI-powered clean-ups in a list's Enrich menu that read a column you already have and fill in a new one, using AI inference instead of a data lookup — there's no external provider involved.

The five analyses#

  • Detect Gender — reads the first name column and adds a gender value plus a matching salutation (Mr./Ms./Dear).
  • Split Full Names — splits a full-name column into separate First Name and Last Name columns.
  • Analyze Job Titles — reads job titles and adds a seniority level (C-Level, VP, Director, Manager, Senior/Individual Contributor).
  • Classify Industries — standardizes free-text industry values into a consistent set of names (for example "tech consulting" → "IT & Consulting").
  • Enrich Addresses — fills in missing city, state, zip and country from whatever address fragments you already have, and normalizes country names.

All five need a source column that ListPlus can detect automatically (like a first-name or job-title column) — if none exists, that analysis doesn't appear.

Analyze All runs every applicable analysis in one go — depending on your columns, that can include steps beyond these five, such as buying roles, lead scoring, outreach briefs and custom scorings, all billed by usage. If many rows lack company data, it first offers Enrich first, then analyze, which spends enrichment credits (the dialog shows the estimate).

AI Analysis is billed by usage — it is not free#

Every one of the five analyses above calls ListPlus's AI model and is billed the same way as AI commands: by actual usage, shown after it runs, not a fixed price per row. The Enrich menu shows no price up front for these items. Running an analysis is still efficient — ListPlus analyzes each unique value in the column once and applies the result to every row that shares it, so a column with many repeated job titles or first names costs far less than analyzing every row separately. The only free item in the Enrich menu's AI and local groups is Clean Phone Numbers, in the separate "Local (Free & Instant)" group — it reformats phone numbers in your browser with no AI call and no credits. See "Phone number checks and cleanup" for that one.

Where to run it#

Open Enrich in the list toolbar, select rows first if you only want to analyze some of them, then open the AI Analysis group and click one analysis or Analyze All. Save any unsaved edits first — the Enrich menu blocks a run while you have unsaved changes. Results land the same way as any other enrichment: as unsaved data you confirm into cells afterward. What does AI Analysis do?#

Is AI Analysis free?#

No. All five analyses (gender, name split, seniority, industry, address) are billed by usage, the same way as AI commands — the Enrich menu doesn't show a price beforehand, and the amount is shown after the run. The only free option in that part of the Enrich menu is Clean Phone Numbers, which runs locally with no AI call.

How is gender detected and where does the salutation come from?#

ListPlus reads the first name column and returns a gender value plus a matching salutation (Mr./Ms./Dear), taking cultural context into account where a name's gender differs by country. It adds these as new columns rather than overwriting your first name column.

How does name splitting work?#

Select a full-name column and run Split Full Names — ListPlus adds separate First Name and Last Name columns, handling common naming conventions across regions, prefixes like Dr. or Prof., and suffixes like Jr. or III.

What does "seniority" mean for job titles?#

Analyze Job Titles reads your job title column and classifies each one into a level such as C-Level, VP, Director, Manager, or Senior/Individual Contributor, so you can prioritize or filter outreach by decision-making authority.

What does industry standardization change?#

Classify Industries normalizes inconsistent, free-text industry values into a consistent set of names — for example "tech consulting" becomes "IT & Consulting" — which makes filtering and segmenting by industry more reliable.

Does AI Analysis cost less if many rows share the same value?#

Yes. ListPlus analyzes each unique value in the source column once — for example one "CEO" is analyzed once even if 500 rows have that title — and applies the result to every row that shares it, rather than billing per row.

Can I run just one analysis instead of all five?#

Yes. Each of the five appears as its own item in the Enrich menu's AI Analysis group; click just the one you need, or use Analyze All to run every applicable analysis — including any beyond these five that your columns support — in one go.

What does Analyze All do beyond the five listed analyses?#
