Account and sign-in

Updated Markdown

ListPlus signs you in with your email address and a one-time code — there is no password, passkey or social login to set up.

Without an account#

You can look around before creating one: the Home page, the import wizard, Person Search, Segment Search and AI Research all open without signing in, and Person Search even gives you a few free full-profile lookups. See Person Search for exactly what's free there. Nothing is saved for you until you have an account — the moment you do something that needs saving or spends credits (creating or importing a list, adding a contact to a list, enrichment, research, an AI command), a sign-up dialog opens. Your current search or selection is kept — in Person Search, the search you were running continues right after sign-up.

Signing up#

Click Start for free in the account menu (the avatar at the bottom of the left navigation), or just start an action that needs an account — either opens the Get Started dialog. Enter your email address, then enter the one-time code sent to that address; there is no password to create or remember. Every new account starts with 25 free credits, and no credit card is required. Temporary or disposable email addresses are not accepted — see below. Your account comes with its own workspace, where your lists, saved contacts and Inbox live (see "What is a workspace?").

If a colleague invited you, open the link from the invitation e-mail and click Sign in and join instead. Sign up with the address the invite was sent to, and you land directly in their workspace (see "Invite teammates to a workspace").

Signing in#

Signing in works the same way: click Start for free in the account menu, enter your email address and the one-time code sent to it. If an account already exists for that address, you are signed straight in. If you open a link to a list while signed out, you'll see a Welcome Back dialog with the same two steps.

Disposable email addresses#

If you sign up with a temporary or disposable email address, you'll see a Temporary Email Address Detected page right after sign-in, and you can't use the app with that account. Click Sign Out & Register with Real Email, then sign up again with a permanent address such as Gmail, Outlook or your work email.

The account menu#

The avatar at the bottom of the left navigation opens your account menu. For a signed-in account it shows:

  • your name and your own plan, plus a row with the active workspace that opens the workspace menu (switch, invite, create),
  • Balance — your credit total, opens the credit purchase dialog,
  • Usage — your credit consumption and transaction history,
  • Plans & Billing — subscription and invoices,
  • Settings … — opens Manage Account, your account profile,
  • Language — English, German or Spanish (French is also selectable, partly translated),
  • Sign Out.

Anonymous visitors see "Guest – Browsing without an account", a Start for free button ("25 free starter credits · sign in with an email code"), and the rows Plans & Billing (to browse pricing) and Language.

Signing out and switching accounts#

Choose Sign Out in the account menu to end the session in this browser. Signing in on a different device or browser needs the email + code step again — a session isn't shared across devices, only across pages in the same browser. To use a different account, sign out first, then sign in again with the other email address. Credits and your plan belong to your account; lists, saved contacts and the Inbox belong to the workspace they were created in.

FAQ#

Do I need an account to use ListPlus?#

Not to look around. You can browse the Home page, the import wizard, Person Search, Segment Search and AI Research without signing in, and Person Search gives you a few free lookups. An account is needed as soon as you want to save something or spend credits, for example to create a list or run an enrichment — the sign-up dialog opens automatically at that point.

How do I sign up or sign in?#

Click Start for free in the account menu (the avatar at the bottom of the left navigation), or start an action that needs an account. Enter your email address, then the one-time code sent to it — there is no password. New accounts get 25 free credits and no credit card is required.

Why is my email address rejected during sign-up?#

ListPlus doesn't accept temporary or disposable email addresses. Sign up with a permanent address, such as your work email or a Gmail or Outlook account.

Do I get free credits when I sign up?#

Yes. Every new account starts with 25 free credits, and no credit card is required. See "How credits work" for what credits pay for and how to top up.

Where do I sign out?#

Open the account menu via the avatar at the bottom of the left navigation and choose Sign Out. This ends your session in this browser only.

Can I add or change the email address on my account?#

To change the email address your account uses, contact support@listplus.ai from your current address. Your lists and credits stay with your account.

Do I stay signed in if I switch devices?#

No. Your sign-in is tied to the browser you signed in on, not synced across devices. Signing out ends the session only in that browser; on a new device or browser, sign in again with your email address and a fresh one-time code — there's no password to remember, so it only takes a moment.

What can I do before I create an account?#

You can browse the Home page, the import wizard, Person Search, Segment Search and AI Research, and Person Search lets you open a few full profiles for free. Nothing is saved and no credits are spent until you sign up; see Person Search for the exact free allowance there.

Is there a password I need to set?#

No. ListPlus uses email address plus a one-time code only — no password, passkey or social sign-in to set up or remember.

When does ListPlus ask me to create an account?#

As soon as you do something that needs saving or spends credits: creating or importing a list, adding a contact to a list, running an enrichment, starting a research, or using an AI command. Browsing itself never asks you to sign up.
