Enrich straight from a check

Updated Markdown

Some checks in the Analyze panel can fill the gap they found. A check card then shows an Enrich (n) icon: one click starts an enrichment for exactly the rows of that check, without opening the Enrich menu and without a cost dialog.

Which checks have it#

  • Missing Name — finds the person's name from what each row holds (e-mail, LinkedIn).
  • Empty Job Title — finds the job title from e-mail, LinkedIn, or name + company.
  • Empty Company — finds the company from domain, e-mail or LinkedIn. This one needs a company column in the list.
  • Company Data Available — shows Import company data (n) (Firmendaten übernehmen) instead: it copies company data we looked up before. It needs an e-mail column and is free.

What the number means#

n is the number of rows of that check. When you have rows selected in the grid, n counts only the check's rows that are also selected; with nothing selected it counts all of the check's rows. At 0 the icon is hidden.

What happens when you click#

  • Enrich (n) starts one enrichment job at once. For each row the cheapest route is tried first, and the next route only if that finds nothing. Only empty cells are filled, never a cell that already holds a value, and there is no "Fill empty cells?" prompt.
  • You are charged per hit; a row with no result costs nothing. The prices are in the price list.
  • A message says "Enrichment started for N records — the cells fill as results arrive." Progress and the result appear in the task indicator ("Enrichment · step N", then "Enrichment completed"), as for any other enrichment.
  • Import company data (n) reads our own company cache, fills the empty company cells and says "Company data taken from the cache for N records."

When you don't see the icon#

The icon is hidden when the list is read-only for you, when it is the shared sample list or a reference list locked to its source, when the check found no rows (or none of the selected rows), and on checks that have no enrichment. Import company data also needs an e-mail column.

FAQ#

Can I enrich the rows a check finds, right from the Analyze panel?#

Yes — on checks such as Missing Name, Empty Job Title and Empty Company, click the Enrich (n) icon on the check card. It starts an enrichment for exactly that check's rows, fills only empty cells and needs no extra dialog.

Which checks have an Enrich icon?#

Missing Name, Empty Job Title and Empty Company show Enrich (n); Company Data Available shows Import company data (n). No other check offers it.

What does the number in "Enrich (n)" count?#

The rows of that check. If you have rows selected in the grid, it counts only the check's rows that are also selected; with no selection it counts all of them, and the icon disappears at 0.

What does Enrich from a check cost, and is there a confirmation?#

It starts at once with no cost dialog, tries the cheapest route per record, and charges per hit only — a row with no result is free. The per-lookup prices are in the price list; only empty cells are filled.

What is "Import company data" and why is it free?#

It fills empty company cells from company data we already looked up for the same domain earlier, so no new lookup happens and it is free. It appears on the Company Data Available check and needs an e-mail column in the list.

Why don't I see the Enrich icon on a check?#

It is hidden on read-only lists, on the shared sample list, on reference lists locked to their source, when the check has no rows (or none of your selected rows), and on checks without an enrichment. Create your own list to try it.

Where do I see the progress of an enrichment started from a check?#

In the task indicator: it reads "Enrichment · step N" while running and "Enrichment completed", "stopped" or "cancelled" at the end, with counts such as enriched and not found. The cells fill as results arrive.
