Reload: what's kept, what's lost

This is a quick reference for what a Reload keeps and what it removes. For where to click Reload, which sources support it, and pushing your edits back out, see "Keeping a connected list in sync" — that article is the full guide.

Kept#

  • A saved edit, if the source field hasn't changed since you made it.
  • Rows you edited that have since disappeared from the source — they stay in your list.
  • Tags, enrichment results and quality-check data on any row still present in the source.

Changed or removed#

  • A saved edit is overwritten if the source now holds a different value for that field.
  • Rows you never edited that are no longer in the source are removed from your list.
  • Rows newly added in the source are added to your list.
  • Any change you haven't saved yet is not compared at all — it's simply lost, which is why the reload warning calls out unsaved changes separately.

FAQ#

What does a Reload keep from my saved edits?#

A saved edit is kept as long as the source field hasn't changed since you edited it; if the source now has a different value, that value wins and your edit is overwritten. See "Keeping a connected list in sync" for the full comparison logic.

Does Reload delete rows I edited but that vanished from the source?#

No — rows you edited that later disappeared from the source stay in your list. Rows you never touched that are no longer in the source get removed.

Will my tags, enrichment results and check data survive a Reload?#

Yes, on any row that's still present in the source after the reload. Rows removed because they're no longer in the source lose that data along with the row.

Does Reload add new rows from the source?#

Yes, records that are new in the source since your last reload are added to your list.

Does Reload change my list's columns or schema?#

No — Reload only refreshes row data from the source. Your columns and their types stay exactly as set in List Settings, whether or not you reload.

How does ListPlus know which row matches which source record?#

Automatically, by the source's own record ID (or row position for a Google Sheet) — this matching is separate from the Primary Key Field you set for Sync Changes, and needs no setup from you.
