When enrichment sources disagree, which value is offered?
Looking up the same person or company more than once, or through more than one provider, can produce different values for the same field. This explains how ListPlus decides which one to offer, and confirms the one rule that always comes first: enrichment never overwrites a value already in your list.
Enrichment never overwrites a value you already have#
Filling cells from enrichment writes only into empty cells: the "Fill empty cells with enrichment data?" dialog, the Fill empty tab of "Apply values" and the record panel's "Merge." A value already in a cell, whether you typed it, pasted it or imported it, is left alone. An existing value is replaced only when you do it on purpose: the Overwrite all tab in "Apply values" (you tick each field), Overwrite existing when joining columns from another list, or an AI command or cleanup you run that changes values.
Ranking when several enrichment sources disagree#
When more than one enrichment source has returned a value for the same field on a row — say, an email from both a LinkedIn-based lookup and a name + company lookup — ListPlus picks one to offer using an internal ranking: a value a paid data provider actually verified generally ranks above one only inferred by AI, and a provider known to be strong at one particular field (for example, a mobile number) can outrank its usual order for that field alone. For email specifically, a value confirmed deliverable by verification outranks one that hasn't been checked, even from an otherwise higher-ranked source. This ranking only decides which value is offered to fill an empty cell — it never overrides a value already in the grid.
Seeing every source for a row#
Click a row and open the Record panel to see everything ListPlus knows about it, including stored enrichment results not yet filled into a cell — this is where you can check which source a value came from before deciding to take it over.

If I've already typed a value into a cell, can enrichment overwrite it?#
No, not automatically. Filling cells from enrichment only ever writes into empty cells; a value you typed or pasted yourself is left alone unless you choose "Overwrite all" in Apply values or "Overwrite existing" in a join; AI commands you run can also change existing values.
