Where is my data stored?
Your lists are stored by ListPlus, hosted on Vercel in the EU region Frankfurt. There's no separate "where is my data" toggle to check — this article covers where things are, how long they're kept, and what happens when you delete them.
Hosting and storage location#
ListPlus runs on Vercel, with its servers and file storage in the EU region Frankfurt. A working data cache used for fast reads is also in Frankfurt. Some processing, such as AI features and enrichment lookups, is done by the providers named in "Where does the data come from?", and transfers are covered by data processing agreements.
Your lists: stored until you delete them#
A list you create is kept indefinitely — there's no automatic expiry and no "inactive list" cleanup. It stays exactly as it is until you delete it yourself. Deleting a list is immediate and permanent: the list and all its rows are removed from ListPlus right away, and there's no trash, undo or restore, so export anything you want to keep first (see "Exporting your list"). Lists belong to a workspace, and only the workspace's owner or an admin can delete one; for members the delete option isn't available (see "Workspace roles and permissions").
Your workspace's data#
Lists, Saved contacts and folders, the Inbox, AI Research runs, pipelines, connected accounts and the Block List all belong to the workspace, and every member can see them (see "What is a workspace?"). Your credit balance and plan belong to you personally, not to a workspace.
When the owner deletes a workspace (Delete workspace in the workspace settings), everything in it is removed at once and permanently: all lists and their data, saved contacts, the Inbox and its forwarding addresses, research runs, pipelines and the links they sent, connected accounts, API connections, the Block List and the usage history. Credits and plan are not affected. See "Leave, remove, transfer or delete a workspace" for the steps.
Data that expires automatically#
A few places are deliberately temporary, because they're meant to be picked up and saved, not stored indefinitely:
- Inbox: a raw entry you drop into Inbox — pasted, sent by a tool, or an email you forward to your personal Inbox address (an inbound email service passes it to ListPlus first) — is deleted automatically 14 days after it arrives. People you saved or added to a list from it stay.
- Shared result links (the "Copy result link" on a person's result): each link works for 7 days after the last time anyone opens it — every visit resets the 7-day window, so an unvisited link goes stale but a link people keep opening stays alive.
- AI Research runs: every research is kept for 7 days after it was started, whether it's still running, finished, or stopped. Researches are stored in your workspace, so every member sees them on any device.
- Links in pipeline e-mails: an e-mail sent by a pipeline contains links to a contact card per entry and an overview with a download. These links work for 30 days from sending for anyone who has them, even without a ListPlus account, so forwarding the mail shares them. They stop working earlier if the pipeline or the workspace is deleted, and the pipeline's History is also kept for 30 days. See "Sending entries by e-mail to your team".
- Recently viewed on Person Search: a contact you merely looked at (never saved from the Inbox, filed into a folder, or enriched — a profile where at least one lookup found data counts as enriched) doesn't appear on the Saved page at all — it only shows under Person Search's "Recently viewed" (up to 6 visible, up to 50 kept in storage; beyond 50, the oldest drop out first) and drops out after 30 days of no further activity. Contacts you keep — saved from the Inbox, filed into a folder, or enriched — stay on the Saved page and don't expire.
None of this touches your lists — expiry only applies to these temporary, not-yet-saved places.
Backups#
ListPlus has no self-service "restore a previous version" or "undo a delete" feature, so treat every delete as final and export what matters first. For questions about backups and retention at ListPlus's hosting providers, email support@listplus.ai.
Closing your account#
Deleting individual lists, saved contacts or Inbox entries is something you do yourself in the app, and a workspace owner can delete a whole workspace with everything in it. Deleting your entire account and all associated data goes through support — see "Deleting lists, contacts, and your account" for what that covers, and "Cancel, downgrade and leave" for cancelling a subscription without deleting anything.

FAQ#
Where is my data physically stored?#
ListPlus is hosted on Vercel in the EU region Frankfurt, and its working data cache is also in Frankfurt. AI features and enrichment lookups are processed by the providers named in "Where does the data come from?", under data processing agreements.
How long are my lists kept?#
Indefinitely — a list stays exactly as it is until you delete it yourself. There's no automatic expiry or inactivity cleanup for lists.
If I delete a list, can I get it back?#
No — deleting a list removes it from ListPlus immediately, with no trash, undo or restore. Export the list first (⋯ menu → Export Data) if you might want the data later. See "Deleting lists, contacts, and your account" for how to delete a list.
How long do Inbox entries stay before they're deleted?#
14 days after they arrive; each entry shows its expiry date. People you saved or added to a list from an entry stay — only the raw entry is deleted.
How long does a shared result link stay active?#
7 days after the last time anyone opens it. Every visit resets the 7-day window, so a link nobody has viewed for a week stops working, while one people keep opening stays live.
What happens to the data when a workspace is deleted?#
Everything in the workspace is deleted permanently at once: lists and their rows, saved contacts, the Inbox and its forwarding addresses, research runs, pipelines and the links they sent, connected accounts, API connections, the Block List and usage history. Only the owner can do this, and there's no undo, so export anything you want to keep first. The owner's credits and plan are not affected.
How long are AI Research runs kept?#
7 days from when the run was started, regardless of whether it's still running, finished, or you stopped it. Add any results you want to keep to a list before that window closes.
Do "recently viewed" contacts disappear?#
Yes, if you only viewed them. A contact you looked at but never saved from the Inbox, filed into a folder, or enriched (a profile where at least one lookup found data counts as enriched) doesn't appear on the Saved page — it only shows under Person Search's "Recently viewed" (up to 6 visible; beyond 50 stored, the oldest drop out first) and drops out entirely after 30 days of no further activity. Contacts you keep — saved from the Inbox, filed into a folder, or enriched — stay on the Saved page and don't expire.
Does ListPlus back up my data?#
ListPlus has no self-service "restore a previous version" or "undo a delete" feature, so treat every delete as final and export what matters first. For questions about backups and retention at ListPlus's hosting providers, email support@listplus.ai.
Is ListPlus GDPR-compliant?#
ListPlus hosts your data in the EU (Frankfurt) and provides a data processing agreement (DPA) on request for every plan — email support@listplus.ai. See "Deleting lists, contacts, and your account" for exercising deletion rights on your account.
Can I delete my whole account and all my data?#
Yes, but that goes through support rather than a button in the app — see "Deleting lists, contacts, and your account" for what's covered and how. To just stop paying without deleting anything, see "Cancel, downgrade and leave" instead.
Do enrichment providers store my data too?#
Providers receive only the identifier needed for that lookup — an email address, a domain, a LinkedIn URL, a name and company, or a company name — never your other columns. See "Where does the data come from?" for which provider handles which lookup.
