Adding Segment Search results to a list
This topic covers what happens when you click Add To List in Segment Search: which columns arrive, when it's free, and why adding the same page twice creates duplicates. For how a Segment Search itself works and what it costs, see "Segment Search: the audience database".
Add To List#
Tick the rows you want with the row or header checkbox; with nothing ticked, Add To List takes the whole current page (up to 25 rows, or fewer if the search matched less). Click Add To List, then either pick an existing list — free — or type a name and click Create New List, which costs 1 credit, the same as a file import.
Columns that arrive#
Each added row brings first name, last name, job title, company name, industry, company size, website, company domain, LinkedIn profile URL, LinkedIn company URL, city and country. Email and phone are always empty on arrival — Segment Search' search results never include the address or number itself, only whether a verified one exists — so enrich or reveal them in the list afterwards.
Adding more than one page#
There's no "add all results" action — each click only adds the page you're currently viewing. To collect more rows, page through the results and click Add To List again on each page; narrowing your filters to fewer, more targeted pages is usually faster than paging through many.
For advanced users#
Adding to an existing list is a plain append: unlike Person Search's Add to list, it does not check for contacts already in the list, so adding the same page twice — or two overlapping searches — creates duplicate rows. Run the list's duplicate check afterwards to catch and merge them (see "Finding and merging duplicates"). Creating a new list costs 1 credit; adding to an existing list is free.

FAQ#
What columns do I get when I add Segment Search results to a list?#
First name, last name, job title, company name, industry, company size, website, company domain, LinkedIn profile URL, LinkedIn company URL, city and country. Email and phone columns are added but stay empty until you enrich or reveal them in the list.
Why are email and phone empty after adding to a list?#
Segment Search's search results only show a masked preview of email and mobile, never the full value, so nothing lands in those columns when you add rows to a list. Revealing an email in Segment Search doesn't fill it into the list either, so add the rows first and then run enrichment on the list to fill email and phone in bulk.
Can I add all my search results at once, not just one page?#
No — each Add To List click adds only the page you're currently viewing (up to 25 rows). To add more, page through the results and click Add To List again on each page you want.
Can I add just some rows instead of the whole page?#
Yes — tick the checkbox on each row you want, or use the header checkbox to select the whole page at once, then click Add To List. Only the ticked rows are added; leaving nothing ticked adds the whole current page instead.
How do I clean up duplicates after adding from Segment Search twice?#
Segment Search appends rows without checking who's already in the list, so an overlapping search adds the same people again. Open the list, click Analyze and use the Duplicates checks (Duplicate Email, Duplicate Name + Company, Duplicate LinkedIn) to merge or remove them — see "Finding and merging duplicates".
How do I find the list after adding contacts from Segment Search?#
A notification with "Click to open" appears right after the add — click it to jump straight to the list you just added to or created. Otherwise, it's in your Lists like any other list.
