How ListPlus compares to Clay, Apollo, Lusha and others

Updated Markdown

ListPlus is built around getting one list ready for a job, not around owning a database or running campaigns. You start from an import, a person, an audience or a description; ListPlus checks the data and fills gaps by calling several specialised data providers (never one proprietary database), and you pay in credits only for what is actually looked up. The app is EU-hosted in Frankfurt, and the same read-and-write API and MCP server are included on every plan, including Basic (no cost), so an AI agent can query, enrich and clean a list without a human clicking through a web app.

Clay#

Choose Clay when you want to design your own multi-step enrichment logic across a spreadsheet-style canvas, calling many providers in sequence with conditional branches. Clay's strength is that flexibility: a GTM engineer can wire together 150+ providers by hand for a very specific workflow.

Choose ListPlus when you want the checks, enrichment and CRM hand-off to already work without building a workflow first — pick an evaluation such as Cold Email, and ListPlus tells you which rows are ready and what the gaps would cost to fill.

Using both: some teams build a one-off, unusual lookup in Clay, export the result as a file, and bring it into ListPlus to run quality checks, fill any remaining gaps from ListPlus's own providers, and hand the list to a CRM or export.

Apollo#

Choose Apollo when you want one tool that combines a large owned contact database with built-in email sequencing, so prospecting and outreach happen in the same product.

Choose ListPlus when you don't want your enrichment tied to a single database, don't want to send emails from the same tool that cleans your data, or want an AI agent to have full read-and-write access on every plan, including Basic.

Using both: import an Apollo export or connect it through the AI agent API, run ListPlus's checks and enrichment to fill what Apollo didn't have, then send the finished list on — as a file, or with the export wizard to Instantly, Smartlead, Lemlist, Google Sheets, HubSpot or your own system by webhook.

Lusha#

Choose Lusha when your work is mostly one profile at a time on LinkedIn — its browser extension reveals an email or phone with a click while you browse.

Choose ListPlus when you're working with a whole list rather than one profile at a time: importing, checking, deduplicating and filling gaps across hundreds or thousands of rows before a campaign or a CRM import.

Using both: export your Lusha lookups to a file and import them into ListPlus to check for duplicates, missing fields and formatting issues before you push the list onward.

Cognism#

Choose Cognism when phone-verified mobile numbers at scale are the core requirement, particularly for EMEA sales teams running a rep-led outbound motion — that verification is a genuine strength of its dataset.

Choose ListPlus when you want self-serve sign-up without a sales call, a flat monthly plan instead of per-seat annual contracts, or an AI agent operating the list directly.

Using both: export the records where Cognism's phone data matters, import them into ListPlus, and use ListPlus's checks and other providers to fill everything else before the list goes to your CRM.

ZoomInfo#

Choose ZoomInfo when your target accounts are mostly large US companies and you need the depth of one of the largest US B2B databases, plus intent and org-chart data, and have the budget for an enterprise annual contract.

Choose ListPlus when you want transparent, self-serve pricing without a sales call, EU hosting, or an agent API that isn't gated behind a paid subscription.

Using both: if you already have ZoomInfo, export the accounts you need and bring them into ListPlus to check data quality and fill gaps with ListPlus's own providers before syncing to your CRM.

Dealfront / Echobot#

Echobot and the visitor-intelligence tool Leadfeeder merged into a single brand called Dealfront in 2023; as of 2026 the combined product goes back to being called Leadfeeder, so "Dealfront" and "Echobot" now point to the same, EU-hosted German company.

Choose it when your priority is spotting anonymous website visitors and buying-intent signals for companies that already exist in your target market — that's what it was built for and ListPlus does not do it.

Choose ListPlus when you need to turn a list of companies or people into checked, enriched, campaign-ready contacts rather than identify who is visiting your website.

Using both: bring the companies it surfaces into a ListPlus list, then use Person Search or Segment Search to find and enrich the actual people at those accounts.

Kaspr#

Choose Kaspr when you're prospecting on LinkedIn itself and want a quick email or phone reveal for the profile you're currently looking at, without leaving the page.

Choose ListPlus when you're working from a list rather than one LinkedIn profile at a time, or you want quality checks and multiple providers instead of a single database.

Using both: export the contacts you've revealed in Kaspr and import them into ListPlus to deduplicate, check and fill any remaining gaps before export.

Hunter.io#

Choose Hunter.io when you just need to find or verify one email address by domain and don't need broader contact enrichment, company data or list management.

Choose ListPlus when email is one of several things you're missing — ListPlus also verifies emails (0.1 credits) but adds phone numbers, LinkedIn URLs, company data and full-list checks in the same place.

Using both: Hunter's Discover database and ListPlus's own providers can both miss the same contact; when one comes up empty, exporting to the other is a reasonable fallback.

FAQ#

How is ListPlus different from Clay?#

Clay is a visual workflow builder: you wire together 150+ third-party providers yourself, step by step, to design a custom enrichment flow. ListPlus instead gives you a working list-readiness flow out of the box — import or find contacts, run checks, enrich the gaps and export — without building a workflow first, and most lookups are billed in credits only when data is found (some are billed per attempt, and AI commands by usage).

How is ListPlus different from Apollo?#

Apollo combines its own contact database with built-in email sequencing, so prospecting and outreach happen in one tool. ListPlus has no contact database of its own and does not send emails; it checks and enriches a list from several providers, then hands it on to a sequencer such as Instantly or Smartlead or Lemlist, or to a CRM such as HubSpot, with an AI agent API included on every plan.

Is ListPlus a Lusha alternative?#

Partially. Lusha is a browser extension for revealing an email or phone on one LinkedIn profile at a time; ListPlus works at the list level instead — importing, checking, deduplicating and enriching many rows together —.

Why choose ListPlus instead of ZoomInfo?#

ZoomInfo is sold through sales on annual contracts with no public price list, and it is a US company. ListPlus has transparent self-serve pricing with no sales call, is EU-hosted in Frankfurt, and includes the AI agent API on every plan rather than gating it behind a paid subscription.

How does ListPlus compare to Dealfront or Echobot?#

Dealfront (built from Echobot and Leadfeeder, and now trading again as Leadfeeder) identifies anonymous website visitors and buying-intent signals for companies — a use case ListPlus does not cover. ListPlus instead turns a list of companies or people you already have into checked, enriched contacts; many teams use the two together, feeding accounts it surfaces into a ListPlus list.

How does ListPlus compare to Kaspr?#

Kaspr is a browser extension for revealing an email or phone while you browse LinkedIn profiles one at a time, and is part of Cognism. ListPlus works on a whole list at once — checks, deduplicates and enriches many rows from several providers — rather than one profile in your browser.

How does ListPlus compare to Hunter.io?#

Hunter.io is focused on finding and verifying one email address by domain. ListPlus also verifies emails, but in the same list you can add phone numbers, LinkedIn URLs and company data, and run quality checks across the whole list before export.

How does ListPlus compare to Cognism?#

Cognism is strong on phone-verified mobile numbers at EMEA scale, sold per seat on annual contracts with a sales-led sign-up. ListPlus has self-serve sign-up with no sales call, a flat monthly plan, and multiple data providers instead of one database, including phone lookups.

Can I use ListPlus together with Apollo or Clay?#

Yes. Import an Apollo export or a Clay-built list as a file (or connect it through the AI agent API), and use ListPlus to run quality checks, fill any remaining gaps from ListPlus's own providers, and hand the finished list on — to Instantly, Smartlead, Lemlist, HubSpot or a webhook with the export wizard.

Which is cheaper, ListPlus or a competitor?#

It depends on how you buy, not just the sticker price: ListPlus has no per-seat pricing. A team works in a shared workspace, where teammates join free and spend the workspace owner's plan and credits, so compare one owner's plan plus the credits the whole team uses. Most database vendors instead add seats on top of credits, often sold on annual contracts; see "Plans and pricing" for ListPlus's exact numbers and the comparison table above for each competitor's pricing model.
