Credits, plan and limits in a workspace
In a workspace, one person pays: the owner. Everything that costs credits in the workspace is deducted from the owner's balance, and the owner's plan decides the record limit and which integrations are available. Members are free and don't need a plan or credits of their own.
What members see#
- The credit balance shows as the owner's, for example "Anna's credits".
- The Plans & Billing page says "This workspace uses Anna's plan." There is no Buy Credits button, because members can't top up the owner's balance.
- Where the owner would see the window to buy credits, members see "Balance empty – please ask Anna to top up" (or the owner's balance), with Got it. Let the owner know; only they can buy credits.
- At the record limit, members see that only the owner can upgrade.
Members can still subscribe to a plan or buy credits for themselves. That pays for workspaces they own, never for someone else's workspace.
What the owner pays for#
- All paid actions of every member in the owner's workspaces: enrichment, reveals, AI commands and AI columns, AI Research, imports and Inbox recognition.
- The plan (Basic, Pro or Premium) applies to every workspace the owner owns. Integrations such as Google Sheets (Pro) or HubSpot (Premium) are available to all members of those workspaces.
- The record limit (Basic 10,000 · Pro 100,000 · Premium 1,000,000 records) counts the rows of all lists across all workspaces the owner owns. Lists in a workspace where you are only a member count toward that workspace's owner, not toward you.
Workspaces, members and invites themselves cost nothing.
Seeing who spent what#
Open your avatar menu → Usage. The section "Usage in this workspace" lists this month's credits per person in the active workspace. Members only see the active workspace's usage ("You only see this workspace's usage. The balance belongs to …"), without purchases. The owner also sees their full credit history across all their workspaces.
When the balance runs out#
Everyone in the workspace spends the same balance. A job that is refused at the start opens the buy window for the owner and the "ask the owner" window for members. If the balance runs out while a batch enrichment is running, the batch stops: the remaining rows are not charged and show as failed in the task card. After a top-up, run the enrichment again on the rows that are still empty.
AI request limits are per person#
The fair-use limits for AI requests (1,000 per day and 20,000 per month) count per person, not per workspace, and don't draw on the owner. The credits those requests cost still come from the owner's balance.

FAQ#
Who pays for credits in a workspace?#
The workspace owner. Every paid action by any member in the workspace is deducted from the owner's credit balance, and the owner's plan sets the limits and integrations for everyone in it. Members don't need a plan or credits of their own.
Why can't I buy credits in this workspace?#
The workspace runs on the owner's balance, and only the owner can top it up. As a member you see "Balance empty – please ask … to top up" instead of the buy window, so let the owner know. Credits you buy for yourself only pay for workspaces you own.
What does "Balance empty – please ask … to top up" mean?#
The workspace you're in uses its owner's credits, and that balance is empty. Only the owner named in the message can buy credits, so ask them to top up. Click Got it to close the message.
Can I transfer or give credits to a teammate?#
No, credits can't be moved between people. Instead, invite the teammate into your workspace: everything they do there is paid from your balance. The owner's credits pay for all members' work in the owner's workspaces.
Can I get one invoice for my whole team?#
Yes, in effect: the workspace owner holds the subscription and buys all credit packs, and members never pay. So there is one subscription and one set of invoices, those of the owner. For invoice questions, see "Invoices and VAT".
How does the record limit work with several workspaces?#
The record limit belongs to the owner's plan and counts the rows of all lists across every workspace that person owns (Basic 10,000, Pro 100,000, Premium 1,000,000). A new workspace doesn't bring extra room. A member who hits the limit sees that only the owner can upgrade.
Can I see how many credits each teammate used?#
Yes. Open your avatar menu → Usage; the section "Usage in this workspace" shows this month's credits per person in the active workspace. Members only see the active workspace's usage, without purchases.
Are AI limits shared across the workspace?#
No. The AI request limits (1,000 per day and 20,000 per month) count per person, so one busy teammate can't use them up for everyone. The credits those AI requests cost still come from the owner's balance.
