Automatic credit refunds

Updated Markdown

ListPlus automatically credits you back in two narrow cases where you were charged but got nothing usable in return. For money paid to ListPlus itself — a subscription or a credit pack — there's no automated refund; you ask support.

When credits are refunded automatically#

Inbox recognition, discarded. Recognizing an Inbox (Eingang) entry always costs at least 0.5 credits, more for free text, a forwarded e-mail or a PDF (see "The Inbox"). If you delete the entry or edit its text while that run is still in progress, the result is thrown away, and any credits that run spent are refunded automatically.

Email verification in a research handed to your own AI assistant. When you run a research through your own AI assistant (such as Claude or ChatGPT) via its private URL, verifying an email it found is charged before the check runs. If the check then fails, that charge is refunded automatically, both from the run's spend and from your balance. Research run by ListPlus's own agent works differently: stopping a run, or a run that stops because your balance ran out, keeps its matches, and the credits already spent aren't refunded.

Both refunds post as a REFUND transaction on your Usage page (see "Where did my credits go?"), usually within moments of the failure.

What doesn't need a refund#

Most enrichment lookups (finding an email, phone number or company by Prospeo, FullEnrich, CompanyEnrich and similar) are only charged when they find something — a miss simply isn't billed in the first place, so there's nothing to refund. The price list marks which actions work this way. AI commands and AI replies are billed for the work done regardless of whether you liked or used the answer, and aren't refunded.

Refunds for money you paid#

Subscriptions and credit packs are paid through Stripe, and there's no self-service refund button for either. For a subscription cancelled partway through a paid month, see "Cancel, downgrade and leave". For an unused credit pack, credits never expire, so there's normally nothing to refund — for a specific concern, email support@listplus.ai with your account email and the purchase date.

FAQ#

Do I get credits back if a paid action fails?#

Yes, in two automatic cases: an Inbox recognition result discarded because you deleted or edited the entry, and an email verification that fails after being charged, in a research you run through your own AI assistant. Both show up as a REFUND transaction on your Usage page.

When is an Inbox recognition charge refunded?#

If you delete an Inbox entry or edit its text while recognition is still running on it, that run's result is thrown away and any credits it spent are refunded automatically. You don't need to ask.

When is an AI Research charge refunded?#

When you run a research through your own AI assistant (such as Claude or ChatGPT) via its private URL, verifying an email it found is charged before the check runs, and refunded automatically, both from the run's spend and your balance, if that check fails. A research run by ListPlus's own agent works differently: stopping it, or it stopping because your balance ran out, keeps its matches without refunding the credits already spent.

Do I get a refund if a lookup doesn't find anything?#

Usually there's nothing to refund: most enrichment lookups (email, phone, company data) are only charged when they actually find a result, so a miss was never billed. The price list shows which actions are charged only on a hit versus on every attempt.

Can I get a refund for an AI command or reply I didn't want?#

No. AI commands and AI chat replies are billed for the work done as soon as they run, whether or not the result was useful to you, and aren't refunded.

Can I get a refund for an unused credit pack?#

There's no refund button for credit packs in the app. Credits never expire, so unused ones stay on your balance until you use them. To ask about a specific purchase, email support@listplus.ai with your account email and the purchase date.

How do I ask about a refund for my subscription or a credit purchase?#

Email support@listplus.ai with your account email and the date of the charge. For money back after cancelling partway through a month, see "Cancel, downgrade and leave".
