Cancel, downgrade and leave
Cancelling, downgrading and leaving are separate questions. This article covers what actually happens to your plan, your credits, your lists and your data — see "Plans and pricing" for how subscribing and switching plans works day to day.
Cancel your subscription#
Open Plans & Billing from your avatar menu, then click Manage Subscription on your current plan's card (Pro or Premium) — this opens Stripe's customer portal, where you actually cancel. You normally keep full access to everything your plan includes until the end of the billing period you already paid for, and Plans & Billing then shows a banner naming the exact date (the banner itself calls the downgrade plan "Free" — that's Basic). After that date your account moves to Basic automatically — nothing is deleted in the process.
Switching between Pro and Premium#
Use Manage Subscription on your current plan's card to switch between Pro and Premium — see "Plans and pricing" for the full walkthrough.
Downgrading to Basic — what changes#
Once you're on Basic, your record limit across all lists drops to 10,000, you can no longer connect a new Google Sheets, Airtable, Lemlist, HubSpot, Salesforce, Pipedrive, Notion or Stripe source, and Premium's priority support no longer applies. For what happens to a source you already had connected before downgrading, contact support@listplus.ai.
If you own workspaces with members#
Your plan applies to every workspace you own, so cancelling or downgrading changes them all: the record limit counts all their lists together, and the integrations your new plan doesn't include can't be newly connected by any member there. Members don't need a plan of their own, so let them know before you downgrade. To hand a team over to someone else instead, transfer the workspace to them (see "Leave, remove, transfer or delete a workspace").
Leaving a workspace someone else owns is not the same as cancelling: it only ends your access to that workspace and doesn't touch your own plan, credits or workspaces.
Your credits after cancelling#
Your credit balance is untouched by cancelling or downgrading — credits are separate from your plan, never expire, and stay exactly as they were, so you can keep using them for lookups and AI on Basic. See "How credits work" for the full picture.
Lists above your new record limit#
Nothing happens automatically to lists or rows you already have — they stay exactly as they are, fully viewable, editable and exportable, even once you're over Basic's 10,000-record limit. The limit is checked when you import a file, duplicate a list or merge lists, once your total would go over it; edit your existing rows freely, and delete some records or upgrade again to add more. See "Record limit" for exactly what each action does at the limit.
Take your data with you before you leave#
Every list can be exported on every plan, for free, any time. Open the list and use the ⋯ button at the top right: Export Data opens the export wizard, where you pick columns and a format such as Excel, CSV or JSON (the same wizard opens from Export Wizard in the ⌘K command palette). To export just your current selection or the filtered/visible rows instead of the whole list, use Export Selected Records or Export Visible Records in the same menu; Export as Excel there is a one-click shortcut straight to a file, no wizard needed. Saved has no export button of its own — select what you want and use Add to list first, then export that list. Anything sitting in Inbox that you haven't saved or added to a list is temporary and is deleted after 14 days, so save or add-to-list what you want to keep.
Closing your account#
To close your account entirely, email support@listplus.ai and ask — there's no self-service "delete account" button in the app, so export anything you want to keep first. If colleagues work in a workspace you own, transfer it to one of them first, or tell support what should happen to it. For how to delete an individual list, saved contact or Inbox entry yourself, see "Deleting lists, contacts, and your account".
Refunds#
Cancelling itself never costs anything and normally keeps your access until the date you already paid through. For a refund question — for example cancelling partway through a paid month — email support@listplus.ai with your account email and the date, and support will get back to you.
For advanced users#
Downgrading doesn't touch any list data by itself — only your plan and subscription details change automatically; nothing is deleted, hidden, truncated or resized. The record limit is checked when you import a file, duplicate a list or merge lists. Editing rows you already have is not affected.

FAQ#
How do I cancel my ListPlus subscription?#
Open Plans & Billing from your avatar menu, then click Manage Subscription on your current plan's card — this opens Stripe's customer portal, where you cancel. You normally keep full access to your plan until the date shown there, then your account moves to Basic automatically.
When does my plan actually end after I cancel?#
Normally at the end of your current billing period — once you've cancelled, Plans & Billing shows a banner with the exact date your subscription ends. Until that date you keep your full record limit and integrations; after it, your account moves to Basic on its own.
Do I lose my credits if I cancel my subscription?#
No. Credits are separate from your plan and never expire, so cancelling or downgrading to Basic doesn't touch your balance — you keep using it for lookups and AI on Basic exactly as before.
What happens to my lists if I have more records than Basic allows?#
Nothing happens to the lists or records you already have — you can still view, edit and export every row. To add more records, delete some or upgrade again.
Can I reactivate after cancelling?#
Yes — once your plan has reverted to Basic, subscribe to Pro or Premium again the normal way from Plans & Billing. The one-time credit bonus for that plan was already granted the first time you subscribed to it, so it won't be granted a second time.
Do I get money back if I cancel partway through the month?#
There's no automatic refund for the unused part of a billing period, and cancelling normally keeps your access until the date already paid for. If you still want to ask about a refund, email support@listplus.ai with your account email and the date, and support will get back to you.
How do I export everything before I leave?#
Open a list and use the ⋯ button at the top right — Export Data opens the export wizard (also reachable as Export Wizard in the ⌘K command palette), where you choose columns and a format like Excel, CSV or JSON. To export just your current selection or the filtered/visible rows instead of the whole list, use Export Selected Records or Export Visible Records in the same menu; Export as Excel there is a one-click shortcut. Exporting is free on every plan — repeat this for each list you want to keep.
Can I export my Saved contacts directly?#
Not directly — Saved has no export button of its own. Select the ones you want and use Add to list to move them into a list first, then export that list the normal way.
How do I delete my account and data?#
Email support@listplus.ai and ask for your account to be deleted; there's no self-service button in the app. Export anything you want to keep first. For what's covered and how to delete single lists or contacts yourself, see "Deleting lists, contacts, and your account".
What happens if my payment fails?#
While Stripe is still retrying a failed payment your plan stays active; if the subscription becomes unpaid after the retries, your account moves to Basic automatically, the same way it does after a normal cancellation. Update your payment method in the customer portal (Manage Subscription) before that happens to keep your plan active.
Will my connected HubSpot, Google Sheets etc. keep working if I downgrade to Basic?#
Connecting a new Google Sheets, Airtable, Lemlist, HubSpot, Salesforce, Pipedrive, Notion or Stripe source needs Pro or Premium. For what happens to a connection you already have after a downgrade, contact support@listplus.ai.
Does cancelling my plan affect my team?#
Yes, if your team works in a workspace you own: your plan applies there, so the record limit and integrations change for every member too. Members' own plans and credits are not touched. To hand the team over, transfer the workspace to a member first.
Is leaving a workspace the same as cancelling?#
No. Leaving a workspace (Workspace settings → Leave workspace) only ends your access to that one workspace. Your own plan, credits and the workspaces you own stay as they are.
